Aquarena North Roof Painting

Client: City of Greater Geraldton

Geraldton, Western Australia

The Aquarena is the local public swimming pool and leisure centre for the City of Geraldton. We worked with the local council to paint the main roof of the building to protect and preserve the structure. The job was coordinated with the general public and patrons and employees of the Aquarena to ensure minimal impact on their services and activities. The building is located next to an outdoor swimming pool, a skate park and recreational sporting ground and we had to ensure minimal environment contamination from the paint spraying. We used the Dulux AcraTex Roof Membrane as it is a high build, water based coating. It is designed to be applied to suitably prepare metal roofs in need of restoration. It has been especially formulated to make it suitable for the collection of drinking water, UV resistant and anti-carbonation properties.
